Meet the Founder

My name is Emma Ronan and I am a Biology, Chemistry and Science Secondary school teacher. I attended Maynooth University for five years where I completed the BSc. Science with Education and Post-Masters in Education degree courses.
As a Science teacher, I have noticed a severe shortfall when it comes to the availability of study/ revision aids for Junior Cycle Science. Most resources I have found are very time consuming to manoeuvre around, and are costly.
JuniorCycleScience.ie is a website that has been developed to support all students studying Junior Cycle Science in Ireland.
It is specific to the Irish Curriculum and contains information and tips on multiple areas of Science, i.e. exam paper structure, timing, exam trends, experiments, individual units broken down, self-assessment quizzes and notes.
Mission
I strive to support students on their journey through the Irish Education System by trying to make their already stressful lives easier.
I am passionate about teaching and helping not only students, but also teachers. I have thoroughly analysed every aspect of the current curriculum, including all available textbooks, revision books and of course past exam papers going back to the beginning. From this I have designed and continue to develop resources and pave the most efficient way of studying Junior Cycle Science.
This site has arisen as a result of me trying to achieve my goal of aiding and helping students.
I hope its alleviates the stress and dread surrounding study and benefits you on your journey to achieving your goals.
